Together, we are more courageous. Together, we are stronger. That’s why MuvStrong has created a team to run or walk the Katy’s Courage 5k Road Race in Sag Harbor on Saturday April 22, and you can join the ‘Muv’ment’ by sponsoring a team runner!
Katy’s Courage, inspired by the short but meaningful life of Katy Stewart, aids local kids and families affected by cancer. The run supports a bereavement support project at the Children’s Museum of the East End, a scholarship fund, and a pediatric cancer research fund.
Sponsor an individual runner/walker or make a general donation to Katy’s Courage in support of the MuvStrong team. Simply choose an amount on the sidebar to the left to make your donation. If you’re supporting an individual on the team, you’ll have a chance to enter their name.

How this project makes a difference
Your donation will go toward funding “Katy’s Kids @ CMEE,” — a grief support program based at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton, NY. This child-centered program offers peer support to grieving families, utilizing creative expression, play and communication as tools for well-being. Through art, music, poetry, dance/movement and drama, these children and families can come together to share, laugh, cry and to begin to heal.
Proceeds will also go to the Katy Stewart Scholarship fund, awarded annually to a Pierson High School senior who best mirrors the role of the quiet hero, leading by example, with contributions to school and community characterized by kindness, goodness, respect and empathy.

Katy’s Courage
Katy’s Courage a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2012 in honor of a precious young girl, Katy Stewart, who inspired all who knew her throughout her lifetime. Katy was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric liver cancer called hepatoblastoma and died at 12-years young. Her smile and her kindness have continued to shine, and her infinite courage motivated the founding of the organization. Katy’s Courage is to dedicated to raising monies to fund local school scholarships, pediatric cancer research and Katy’s Kids @ CMEE, a grief support group for East End families dealing with loss.
