Join forces with Sotheby's International Realty to ensure Long Island's only local NPR station keeps us connected
Community means different things to each of us but one voice works to connect us – our local NPR radio station. Enriching listeners’ minds and nourishing their spirits, the award winning, East End team at 88.3 WPPB (Peconic Public Broadcasting) entertains, educates and inspires. WPPB offers national and worldwide coverage through its NPR and PBS programs and provides vital exposure to hard-working non-profit organizations, real conversations with local government officials and showcases the abundant talent of Long Island artists.
In order to continue providing its eclectic programming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, WPPB needs an urgent upgrade of its outdated equipment.
How this project makes a difference
WPPB has a stream of rich and varied programming. This goodcircle project will raise funds to overhaul the station’s core production and transmission equipment to help make that programming more accessible and reliable.
Without the necessary tools to provide a reliable, quality service, the station will not be able to offer the high standards expected by listeners and donors.
Our Goal
The total cost for this project to overhaul the station’s core production and transmission equipment is $50,000. By joining together with WPPB and Sotheby’s International Realty we can all help our beloved local radio station perform its vital job – provide the voice for our community. And of course, all donations are tax deductible.
