Weil Gives encourages charitable giving on an individual level. It grows out of what was previously known as “Jeans Friday” in the Firm’s Boston, Brooklyn and New York office locations. Each month, Weil designates an issue area to support and each U.S. office will select a local charity for which to raise money that is related to the designated cause.
For the month of April, Earth Month, we are proud to support The Edible Schoolyard Project.
The Edible Schoolyard Project has worked for more than 20 years to ensure an edible education for every public school student in the United States. Edible education shapes students’ choices at mealtime, and roots them in the relationship between humans and the natural world. The Edible Schoolyard Network connects 5,510 programs in all 50 states as well as 64 countries around the world. The organization envisions gardens and kitchens as interactive classrooms, and a sustainable, delicious and free lunch for every student.

Edible Schoolyard Project
The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share an edible education curriculum for kindergarten through high school. Our vision is for gardens and kitchens to become interactive classrooms for academic subjects, and for every student to have a free, nutritious, organic lunch. If this program is integrated into schools, the curriculum could transform the health and values of every child in America.
