Hoops 4 Hope (H4H) is a non-profit organization implementing youth development programs in schools, shelters and communities. H4H trains local leaders to deliver exciting after-school basketball programs combined with an effective HIV/AIDS prevention and life-skills curriculum.
Since 1995 Hoops 4 Hope has helped thousands of children in Zimbabwe and South Africa face the extraordinary challenges of growing up in under-served communities.
H4H creates safe environments ideal for play and effective learning. Trained peer coaches play a proactive role in shaping their own communities. With two-thirds of the African continent classified as youth, sport is an important vehicle for long-term social and personal change.
